THE 22 IMPERATIVES OF LEADERSHIP: #12 – LEADERS THRIVE IN CHAOS

Things have to get messy before they become magnificent.

Let’s face it. We live in a disruptive world. Changes and shifts are coming at us at Mach 10 speed.

It’s difficult to keep up. In fact, sometimes it feels impossible.

The leader of the future embrace’s chaos, for he knows that out of apparent chaos comes potential order.

Science tells us that everything in this universe is comprised of energy. From a plant to an opossum to a pine tree, Porsche, palace or planet. All things are made of the same thing. Energy.

Furthermore, this energy is MIND.

All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force.
We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind.
This mind is the matrix of all matter.

This MIND/Energy is always in a state of motion and flux. Think about your own mind and how much it moves and vibrates from this thought to that.

In physics we call this movement a frequency. This is the Law of Vibration, and we know this to be one of the 7 laws of the universe.

You think this topic isn’t a leadership topic?

Think again.

Leaders of the future must be well studied in
philosophy, psychology, physiology, biology, spirituality and physics
in addition to just business.
Anything less is an incomplete picture of how the world works.

Cross-training is vital to success in today’s disruptive world.

Here’s the rub:

What we call chaos is the natural state of the universe!

But it’s not really chaos at all. It’s extremely ordered.

The challenge we experience is that we define order as “all physical things in place. Predictable and controlled.” Right?

But this is an unnatural state for energy. Which must move and vibrate.

With this awareness, leaders operate from a higher understanding and find order in apparent chaos.

They realize what appears to the human mind as chaos, is actually order just moving to a higher order.

When things appear to be falling apart take heart.
They’re actually coming together on a higher level of order and awareness.
Keep the faith.

So leaders, understanding the true nature and order of things, learn to thrive in apparent chaos.

For within what appears to the amateur and the masses to be completely chaotic, the leader finds and focuses on the inherent higher order.

In fact, the leader holds order in his MIND until he calls it into form.

For any new emergent to come forth we must first let go of what’s in its place.
If we won’t let go, it will either not emerge, or it will force itself upon us with tremendous pain.

Ask and answer for your Life, Business, and Relationships:

  1. What must you let go of to allow for what’s waiting to emerge to come forth?
  2. Knowing what you now know, what would you not be doing that you began doing when you didn’t know what you now know?
  3. What or who have you learned from and grown beyond that no longer needs to be in your life, business, or relationships?

While the letting go may be temporarily chaotic, frightening or painful. The new emergent is magnificent and greater than what once was.

Much greater.

Now it’s time to act.

  1. I like how C.S. Lewis put this idea: “Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.” It’s often what breaks us that allows us to grow into a greater purpose.

The weakest people I know have never struggled very much in their lives.
