The Smartest Person In The Room

The beginning entrepreneur believes he needs to be the “smartest person in the room” to run the company. Even in social settings some want to constantly prove themselves the “smartest person in the room.” This strategy is rooted in insecurity and not only hampers business but hampers personal growth. If the people around you are all “behind you” you need to find a new crowd.

  1. If you ARE the smartest person in the room, you are in the wrong room. My grandfather has a turn of phrase I have altered for today. On this matter he'd say, Straight "A's" plus $1.25 won't buy a newspaper and a cup coffee anymore. I love being in a room as the beginner.
